My family's involvement in the oil and gas business began with my grandfather in the early 1900's. My career in the petroleum industry began in 1977. Since 1978, I have owned and operated my own lease brokerage company known as ELM Corporation located in Mobile, Alabama.

As a Charter Member of the Alabama Petroleum Landman's Association, I have served as President and also served on various association committees. I am a member of our international association, the American Association of Professional Landmen. I have served and held various offices and as President in 1994-1995. During the American Association of Professional Landmen's Annual Meeting in New Orleans, I was presented with the AAPL 1992 Special Award.

I am also an active member of various state and regional landmen associations. I helped coordinate legislative efforts with the US Oil & Gas Association (Mississippi/Alabama Division), the Alabama Petroleum Council and the Independant Petroleum Association of America. I have worked for many years and continue to work with the Alabama Legislature for the passage of various oil and gas related bills.

Only the highest level of professional men and women work with me and most of whom are Certified Professional Landmen. Our experience ranges from thirty-eight years to fourteen years with an average experience level of sixteen years. We have been fortunate to work in many areas of the United States but our core areas have primarily been the Gulf Coast and Southeastern region. When we are given the opportunity to work for a client, we always utilize local Landmen when possible, which translates into savings for our clients.

We also use an integrated land and ownership software program to generate all of our leasing reports. This system helps us keep up with and control the costs related to a project on a minute by minute basis. Leases, title and work history are maintained on a project by project basis. We can maintain budget (AFE) costs on a project basis and can generate and mail 1099 forms on behalf of our clients at the end of each year. State-of-the-art maps are created thru our mapping system, which uses ArcView software. In this way, we can assure that our clients will receive the most accurate and highest quality data and support material while insuring 100% confidentiality.

Our company offers the additional advantage of knowledge and experience in dealing with both State and Federal Governmental Agencies. We have an excellent working relationship with the Bureau of Land Management and we are able to expeditiously acquire accurate information on both state and federal lands and mineral interests.
